An Act to establish a fund to create, develop, maintain or improve transport infrastructure in West Bengal and for such purpose to levy and collect a cess on sale of motor spirit commonly known as petrol, high speed diesel oil and liquefied petroleum gas.

The existing fares of Non-AC Stage Carriages operated by private operators and State Transport Undertakings shall be fixed as per Schedule attached. New fares shall take effect from 11.06.2018.
WBTIDCL is the active agent of this project. In case of Commercial cars the State Government shall provide 30% of the price of car or Rs 1 Lakh maximum as subsidy.
