Re: B.Ed (Special education)
Can a primary teacher continue this course with out any permission or if the application for permission is rejected as the primary teacher will not get any financial facilities for this degree?November 20, 2012 at 4:40 am #75441AnonymousInactiveRe: B.Ed (Special education)
A primary teacher is probably not permitted to take B.Ed. course as it is not a desirable qualification for his post.November 20, 2012 at 11:48 am #75322AnonymousInactiveRe: B.Ed (Special education)
@polo: However if a candidate do such course in spite of rejection of his/her application for permission what can be the consequences?
I know at least one person who got permission (as he claimed) for B.ED from IGNOU.
My prayer IS NOT GRANTED as the up gradation program in process.November 20, 2012 at 3:33 pm #75439AnonymousInactiveRe: B.Ed (Special education)
If you obtain B.Ed. degree without approval of competent authority and apply for teachership in secondary/H.S. schools, claiming benefits of past service, SSC may ask you to show the permission letter for B.Ed. course in accordance with the rule 18(b). Any teacher having qualifications acquired in course of service should obtain prior permission for pursuance of the course. He shall not be recommended by SSC under bar of rule 18(b) if he applies for a post for which that degree is essential/desirable.

If there is no question of service continuity for change of job from primary to secondary school, I think, it’s not a problem because the teacher will be treated as a fresh candidate by SSC and there is no requirement for disclosing the past employment.December 2, 2012 at 12:58 am #75787AnonymousInactivesir,
our school has given us a form sent by the D.I office to fill related to b.ed through ODL.
my date of joining is 2.9.2009.
do you think that i will be selected for the course this year?
i am asking this because i have cleared ignou entrance n may get admission.hence i am confused because ignou b.ed is of 2yrs while state Odl b.ed will be of 10months.what to do in this situation?
plz guide.December 2, 2012 at 2:29 am #75789AnonymousInactive@ryan: Friend
have you already got D.I permission for your ignou course?
i’ll suggest you to wait for the ODL course because
1. it will be a 10 months course
2.Govt. will bear the cost.
3. there will be no clash with the academic calendar.
however if possible you may think of getting admission in IGNOU now and may have an option to leave it if you find the ODL course more profitable. you should get chance at the first batch. but govt. is yet to get NCTE permission.December 2, 2012 at 3:38 am #75791AnonymousInactive@b.roy-thanx for the info sir.
but the problem is if i get i take admission in ignou, the course fee 17400 is non-refundable.
in that case, dropping out of ignou would not make sense.
so,i am thinking of waiting for the state Odl,and not taking admission in ignou, even if i am selected.as far as increment is concerned my 4th and last increment will be in 2013.
so whats is your view?December 2, 2012 at 11:18 am #75795AnonymousInactive@ryan: friend no “sir” please.
yes IGNOU course fee is non-refundable.
i suggested this as a precautionary measure i believe the govt. when its announcements comes to reality. however in your case you should wait for the ODL course because IGNOU cannot save you from stopping of increment in 2013December 2, 2012 at 11:30 am #75796AnonymousInactivethanx b.roy
what about that rule which says an untrained teacher is entitled to have 1st 4 increments.
i am saying this because i have got 3 increments till date.December 2, 2012 at 2:19 pm #75797AnonymousInactiveyes an untrained teacher shall get 4 increment. so you have no problem for that.
