I can’t understand the speciality of the news item. CAS has been there for school teachers since long. It was never stopped. For example, Rule 12 of ROPA, 1998 for teaching and non-teaching staffs of aided/sponsored schools extends financial benefits under CAS. A lot of court orders have been delivered in regard to allow such benefits to the deserving teachers on acquisition of higher qualifications in terms of Rule 12(3) & Rule 12(5). What’s new today!
