If a person is absent from work for more than 2 days just before a long vacation like pujas etc. and joins the work (case 1) immediately after the vacation,
(case 2) two days after the vacation ends. What type of leave should he/she apply for these cases and how many days will be considered as leaves?
Can anybody reply it on urgent basis?

Please post your service profile. The leave rule is different for different kind of service.

As per Leave rules for primary teachers, Leave other that casual leave may be prefixed to Sundays / holidays / vacations, as the case may be, but intervening Sundays / holidays / vacation shall be counted alongwith the relevant leave.”
So for the first case, commuted leave may be availed for two days only but for the second case, commuted leave should be availed for the entire period of vacation along with 4 days absence.
