    Whether commuted leave can be added with other types of leave? I.e medical leave.
    I have completed 2 years of service and presently I am enjoying my commuted leave of 30 days. Now I want to take more leave.
    Is it possible to have leave with pay in that condition.I also heard that I can take also 30 days of medical leave. Then in that condition can I add my 30 days commuted leave with 30 days of medical leave with pay?

    As per leave rules excepting Casual Leave and Compensatory Leave, any kind of leave mentioned below may be granted in combination with or in continuation of any other kind of leave stated below :
    1. Leave on half-average pay, 2. Leave on medical ground, 3. Special Leave in exceptional circumstances, 4. Extra-ordinary Leave, 5. Maternity Leave.

    So far as I know friend Som is right. You may take another more leave. You may apply extraordinary without pay leave. if your employer approved it. With regards.

    That means i can take 60 days of leave in continuation with full pay of salary.Kindly reply me

    Yes, technically you are right. But continuation of commuted leave is generally done with half pay by most heads of the offices. However, if the reason is genuine then you can get it combined with medical leaves albeit with the relevant Medical papers which would justify the Medical leaves. However, commuted leave is the leave during distress and not for enjoyment.

    There is no provision to deposit ‘ commuted leave’ in the service book of an incumbent.There is a column for half average pay. In our service book, we earned 15 days of medical leave and 15 days of HAP(Half Average Pay) after the 1st year. Similarly we earned 60 days of medical leave and 60 days of HAP after the 4th year. But in our service book , we earned 75 days of medical leave and 60 days of HAP after the 5th year. That means medical leave credited 365 days in whole service year, but the HAP leave is credited 60 days.
    Now it is known that 2 days of HAP = 1 day of commuted live. We don’t enjoy more then 365 days of medical leave in our service life but there is no days bar to enjoy HAPL if there is credited sufficient number of days.
    For example,
    An incumbent took 20 days of HAP after the completion 4th years of service. Then his balance of HAP will be (15 X 4)-20=40 days.For the next year the balance will be 40 + 15 = 55, and next year it will be 60 in the place of 70 (55+15 = 70). Now the incumbent takes 30 days of HAP, then the balance will be 60-30 = 30. Next year it will credit 30 +15 = 45.
    An incumbent can enjoy 30 days of COMMUTED LEAVE in his all service life (60/2=30) with full pay.
    In case of HAP ,the SALARY for 15 days of September, will as followed:-
    suppose Rs.20000/- is B.P. of an incumbent.
    a) Half of Basic Pay= Rs.10000/- (b) 45% of D.A. of this calculated Basic Pay= Rs. 4500/-(c) 15% of H.R.A. on full Basic pay = Rs.3000/- (d) Rs.300 Medical allowance . Total Salary for this month =Rs. 17800/
    September is 30 DAYS. So ,the HAP for 15 days will be 17800/30 x 15days = 8900/-
    Both half average pay and commuted leave can be suffix, prefix as well as medical leave. Commuted leave can enjoy only there is no medical leave in balance. But half average pay leave can enjoy in medical ground or personal needs although there is sufficient medical leave in account. This leave is sanctioned by the S/A.

    I am very much confused.Our S.I. is saying that you can take only 30 days of commuted leave in two years period of service.
    But when i asked that i want to add this 30 days of commuted with medical he replied that it is not possible.Kindly reply me its very urgent.
    Actually i want to take 55days of leave continously with full paymant.Is it possible.

    Dear friend,
    you have completed 2 yrs of service so you have earned 30 medical leaves and 30 half pay leaves.
    you can enjoy 30 med leaves if you need so,now in case of commuted you can enjoy only 15 comm leaves because you have 30 H.P.leaves credited in your leave account,you can not enjoy 30 commuted leaves because in that case you need its double 60 half pay leaves in your account.
    Now if you have med leave, commuted leave cant b enjoyed on medical ground.
    you need 55 leaves but i think you can enjoy 30 M.L.+15 Commuted leaves altogether.
    30 commtd leaves in lieu of 60 half pay leaves can b enjoyed in whole service life,partly or once.

    ok its fine that means i can take 45 days leave with full pay.
    But i also heard about advance medical leave.
    Kindly brief me.
