    During the regime of Late Jyoti Basu a committment was given by the State of West Bengal that henceforthe the employees of the State will get the equal Dearness Allowance with that of the Central Government.The system started and is almost continuing till to day though in a lame style. Can any one tell whether any G.O had been issued in this respect by the then State Government? If so kindly post it at this forum to initiate some positive action. Persons dying after taking poisonous liquor and burning in fire like AMRI are getting fat compensation at the cost of the tax payers and the tax payers are suffering without a word. Some where at some time it has to be ventilated. Kindly help.

    Please do not equate those who were admitted in a hospital to get well and died due to negligence of the hospital authority with those who were indulging themselves in breaking the law for fun and died. This kind of comparison will only show your post albeit well intended in a poor light. Please do not take offense, I post this considering the sensitive nature of the issue. The families of the departed souls are still to come into terms to the untimely bereavement in their family.

    @আদিল ভাই
    মনে করে দেখুন তো জ্যোতি বসু সরকার কেন্দ্রীয় হারে মহার্ঘভাতা কবে থেকে দিতেন?
    পর্যালোচনা করলেই বুঝতে পারবেন কেন্দ্রীয় ভাতা ও রাজ্য ভাতার মধ্যেকার ফারাক টা।
    যতদূর মন বলছে – জ্যোতি বসু এই ঘোষণাটি কোন নির্বাচনী জনসভায় করেছিলেন – আর আপনি বোধহয় ভাল ই জানেন নেতারা নির্বাচনের সময় কত কি না বলে থাকেন। তখন
    “পাগোলে কি না বলে আর ছাগলে কি না খায়”বাকধারা টি বদলে গিয়ে “নেতারা কি না বলে আর ছাগলে কি না খায়” আবার এটি ই ভোটের পড়ে হয়ে যায় “পাগোলে কি না বলে আর নেতা রা কি না খায়”।
    এই বঞ্চনা যুগযুগ ধরে সবকটি সরকার করেছে এখনও হবে – এটাই রাজ্য সরকারী কর্মী দের ললাটলিখন।

    So far as my knowledge goes and as per newspaper report, the kin of 29 victims of AMRI incident has got the compensation amounting Rs. 3,00,000/- each in last January, but the compensation amount given by the AMRI authority not accepted by the government and probably that amount still lying with the High Court,

    &
    “India Today” dated January 11, 2012.

    In the Sangrampur poisonous liquor case the compensation is withheld due to 3 Public Interest Litigation filed before the Calcutta High Court.

    Some well wishers have taken the compensation relating to AMRI fire as exception. It is not fair. People who were charred to death were mostly from the upper class income group. I thank the well wishers for ignoring the livings and supporting the departed souls. Compensation does not bring back the life. But DA infuses life in the living deads.

    thanks mr. tonmoy.you are correct to opine on this issue-no promise in political speech must be fulfilled nor any case in any court would be issued against it.–this is a verdict by the court(whether by high or supreme court,i can’t remember).your opinion may hurt some fastidious persons but its literally true if the general essence is taken.
