I have a query on Medical Leave and Extra ordinary leave.
My wife is an Asst Teacher with an aided secondary school. She has 60 days of Medical Leave in her credit. Now for pregnancy reasons, she want to avail one year leave from Aug 2013 and onwards.
However, she is reluctant to avail the Medical Leave now and wants to preserve the 60 days Medical leave. She is ready to take Extraordinary leave without pay for six months and balance six months as Maternity Leave.
Now the query is can she take EOL when Medical Leave is available? Is it necessary to exhaust the Medical Leave first before taking the EOL or it is at her option to choose the type of leave as Medical Leave or EOL for first six months?
Any reply will be highly appreciated.August 13, 2013 at 4:38 pm #78490AnonymousInactiveShe may get EOL on medical ground with preserve her credited 60 days of Medical leave by the permission of School authority.
Any kinds of leave be taken with Maternity Leave without C.L. & COMPENSATORY LEAVE. Commuted leave also may be taken with Maternity Leave.
If she avail 6 month of EOL on medical ground and the such EOL is sanctioned by M.C., then the date of increment will be remain unchanged.
But in personal or any other ground, the date of increment will be changed to back for 6 months. Say, in this year, the date of increment is 01/07/2013. If she takes 6 months of EOL ( say 01/09/2013 to 28/02/2014) without medical ground, her notional increment will be on 01/07/2014, but financial advantage will be allowed from and on 01/01/2015.
Yes, after 6 months of EOL, she may enjoy her maternity leave with continuation.
Thanks a lot.May 31, 2018 at 1:38 pm #82823AnonymousInactiveShe may get EOL on medical ground with preserve her credited 60 days of Medical leave by the permission of School authority.
