Sir,
I am a pass graduate asst teacher in a HS school. I have been appointed in a language subject & in graduation my subject were BENGALI,POLITICAL SCIENCE, EDUCATION. Political science and Education is taught in my school in HS section.
Now will you tell me please……..
1. Can Headmaster ask me to teach education in hs section forcefully ?
2. Can Headmaster ask me to do clerical work like DISE ,free textbook distribution, library ,npegl, forcefully ?March 31, 2012 at 7:03 pm #71817AnonymousInactive@ Bhagat,
1) MC can ask any teacher to teach any subject if they found him eligible and competent enough for the work! As a stop gap measure they may ask any teacher of Normal section (V-X) to impart education in HS section.
I don’t know why you have used the term “forcefully”. Is it that the unwillingness to take the “EXTRA LOAD” of little preparation for HS classes? If it is, please ask him to shrug off NOW! Teaching, as it is not “LOAD”, can never be done “forcefully” Willful Teachers can only discharge his duties perfectly.
2) No teacher can be engaged in non-academic matter during the instructional hour!April 1, 2012 at 8:15 am #71823AnonymousInactiveDear BIKU sir,
thank you very much for your response, and it was helpful indeed.
However i would like to make it clear that i used the term FORCEFULLY intentionally because it is how it goes in our school. There are instances where headmaster has asked the astt teachers to do things which were against the rule as well as WILL. He used to say, i quote him, ‘ you have to do this whether you like or not, if needed i will force you, AND IF YOU DON’T I’ll PERSONALLY SEE HOW U WON’T ‘. This sort of conversations suggest as if astt teachers have no RIGHT of their own. In such a context I think the word FORCEFULLY is the only word that is APPROPRIATE.
It is not a matter of teaching, but of TORTURING in the name of TEACHING.
NOW,PLEASE CLARIFY THAT
HM ASKS ME TO TEACH IN HS SECTION 6 PRDS IN EACH CLASS (TTL 12 PRDS IN 11,12 CLASS) OTHER THAN 18 PRDS OF SECONDARY CLASSES, AS A REGULAR BASIS NOT AS A STOP GAP MEASURES AS YOU HAVE TOLD.IS IT LEGAL ?
I would be very thankful once again if you provide circulars relating to those TWO topics mentioned in earliar post
THANK YOUApril 1, 2012 at 9:57 am #71824AnonymousInactiveIn the academic interest of the students, MC may take any decision. probably your school has no teacher in that subject or resigned or retired, stop gap measures mean till filling up the vacancy. No. of period alloted to you is also within the rule.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR SO QUICK REPLY, ONCE AGAIN.
PERHAPS YOU HAVE MISSED ABOUT THE CIRCULARS RELATED TO THOSE TOPICS, I HAVE REQUESTED. ALONG WITH G.O. THIS DISCUSSION WOULD BE MORE RELIABLE.April 1, 2012 at 4:14 pm #71833AnonymousInactiveWe know more or less about the present condition of our schools. I think all the problem( infrastructural) of our schools will not solve very near future.
List of requirements are growing for quality education.I think we are better now. All primary and new setup junior High School and some secondary schools are running very bad condition. Head Teachers of Primary Schools to act as an peon cum clerk cum accountant of mid day meal cum teacher cum administrator of the school cum D.O. of revision of voter list cum Secretary of the Village education committee cum etc. Major portion of our new setup junior High School is Clerk, peon even Head Master less. T.I.C (mostly new appointed) are in same condition.I believe it , for the greater interest of our students, for the betterment of their own school, after-all being a teacher will be cooperate with their Head teacher/master. otherwise how can our Head teacher/master will smoothly run the school? How will do our students progress? We all know Teachers build the society. Thanks everybody.April 1, 2012 at 6:24 pm #71837AnonymousInactiveI am fully agree with you my dear friend (A.B.Pal). The conditions of the schools and govt Offices are deteriorating day by day due to lack of stuffs and implementation of new projects for which we all are suffering along with our future generation. Govt whimsically introduce new projects and cast most of the responsibility to the ground floored persons without making necessary arrangements. When Its the responsibility of the Teachers to build up the future, its the responsibility of the Govt to provide sufficient infrastructure for peaceful study. The hazard of preparation mid day meal could well be avoided by some other way like supply of dry food. Save of time and labour as wel.
@Jagadish:- On behalf of the team, I welcome you to our community. We are happy to have you. Feel free to post your query and take active participation. We never criticise anybody and love healthy discussions.
As per my point of view, we should consider our place of work as our home and colleagues/students as our family members. So just try your best to keep your family healthy. I think you can feel the responsibility of the head or the guardian of the family and once you will also be the same. Take care bro.April 1, 2012 at 6:33 pm #71838AnonymousInactiveNICE MY FRIEND! Sorry if I hurt you! I didnt want to hurt or criticize you!
There is no DIRECT G.O. in regard to ” What to teach, How to Teach & WHY to teach / What to do how to do why to do” because the Govt. believe in the basic instinct of the teachers however as you wish i would like mention some extract of some relevant G.O.
