@ raja: the password in incometaxindia portal is generally your pan card number in lower case followed by your date of birth in DD-MM-YYYY format without leaving a space in between anywhere. try it and let us know the result.

Sir,
Unfortunately I have forgotten my log in details of incometaxindiaefillig.gov . I am not able to recover it from that site by trying again and again.So I could not able to calculate my income tax online. Please suggest me what can I do ?

@Dear Kaushik, Thanks for participating on this discussion. I am sorry to say that the procedure you said is applicable to open a PDF file sent by the incometaxindia portal. When you will try to open the file it will ask for the password.
Please check whether I am correct or you. I am confirm about my point of view as I have just tested the whole.

This piece of information, I provided, was so very wrong and misleading. I apologise for posting something without much groundwork. If it has caused any harm to anybody, I feel personally responsible for the same. How could I be so irresponsible!!
But Mates, getting a positive reputation point for posting a wrong information is not good for the health of this forum. Whoever gave the ‘thumb up’ for this poor posting of mine kindly withdraw it, otherwise give TWO Negative points against it immediately.

Dear friend. We are glad to have such a nice person like you who bears such nice humanity. This forum is for discussion and if anybody post something wrong , that must not be taken so hardly because nobody intentionally provides the wrong one.
