    Wife works at High School under Government of West Bengal & husband works at a private company. Both draw House Rent Allowance. Now please tell me is the wife entitled to gate House Rent Allowance according to West Bengal Government Rules?

    Yes, the wife of a Private Sector Employee is entitled to draw HRA according to West Bengal Govt. Rules, but the ceiling of Rs. 6000/- is to be maintained. For more details please refer to the attachment in mihiracharya’s post above. Thank You.
