March 28, 2012 at 2:33 pm #71771AnonymousInactiveIt is absolutely OK.
As per WBSR Rule 81, Joining time admissible where the transfer necessarily involves continuous travel by road for more than 200 km is 12 days.
In your case you have availed exactly 12 days of joining time. Therefore no conversion to EL is applicable. Please keep in mind, that Joining time availed should necessarily be reflected in your Service Book.

In case of Education department(primary) as per G.O. No. 658Edn(P) dated. 06.07.1992. Joining time are noted below:-
Up to 30 Km. ………….. 1day.
30 to 150 Km……………. 2days.
Above 150 Km. ………….. 3 days.
It is just information for the Primary teachers beside Govt. employees.March 28, 2012 at 3:59 pm #71777AnonymousInactive@A.B.Pal – Dear friend. Above 150 kms 3 days only? Are the primary teachers may not be transferred for a long distance or in another district? How would it be possible to shift a family to a long distance within this short time?
March 28, 2012 at 4:02 pm #71779AnonymousInactiveAs per new G.O. No. 809-SE(Pry) dated 15.07.2002, Rule 7: A teacher while carrying out the order of transfer shall be entitled to joining time as specified below namely:
Distance between two Schools by normal route Joining Time Up to 8 Kms Nil Above 8 Kms to 30 Kms 1 (one) day Above 30 Kms but under 150 Kms 2 (two) days Above 150 Kms 3 (three) days March 28, 2012 at 4:18 pm #71780AnonymousInactiveFriend Som,
Primary teacher transfer are two types. 1) inner District.( within the same D.P.S.C) in this case there is no joining time up to 8 Km. distance. Another s are same.
2) inter District. ( within the W.B.B P.E.) In this case has written before.March 28, 2012 at 4:19 pm #71781AnonymousInactiveThanks for the info admin. Please inform me the rest.
March 28, 2012 at 4:27 pm #71782AnonymousInactiveThis is not fair. When a govt employee is entitled to avail joining time of 12 days for more than 200 kms, the primary teachers only 3 days? I personally oppose this.

A Pry. Teacher transferred to another circle by the order of D.P.S.C. & released from the said Circle on 24.12.2000.i.e last working day of that circle24.12.2000.from 25.12 to 31.12.2000. x mass holidays, 1.1.2001 Beng. New years holiday, 2.2.2001. so joined his new school on 2.1.2001. i.e.1st day of new circle on 2.1.2001.Now my Question;-
1) which circle will count the holidays period i.e 25.12.2000 to 1.1.2001?
2) Is he eligible to avail more two days as joining time for 100 Km. distance?March 29, 2012 at 4:35 am #71787AnonymousInactiveIt is the responsibility of the new circle in which the teacher is transferred. 2 days joining time is admissible as per G.O. No. 658Edn(P) dated. 06.07.1992. And it should be recorded by the head of the office at the new place of posting, mentioning the duration of joining time suffixing & prefixing Govt. holidays (whichever may apply) and date of release from the old place of posting. Whenever LPC (Last Pay Certificate), Release Order is issued, and the Service Book, duly verified, is transferred, there is as such no liabilities of the old circle afterwards.
