    Dear Members,
My date of joining as an AT is 22/7/02. I am going to leave the school on MUTUAL TRANSFER on 10/7/12. Now,in leave account from 22/7/11 to 10/7/12, medical leave earned on average pay should be taken as 14 days from my present school or leave it blank( as medical leave may not be counted proportionally) and then the new school will credit 15 days medical leave considering from22/7/11 to 21/7/12.kindly attach THE G.O if any, in this regard. Thanks in advance.

Excepting casual leave, all kind of leave is noted in the service book as and when it availed and it should be entered & calculated in the leave register of the service book on completion of the year.
In your case calculation should be made in the new school.
(N.B. Earned leave is calculated for the period of Six months but it is not available for the school teachers)
Sorry to say I dont have any G.O. presently. I shall try to find it out, if available.

Thanks a lot, Mr. SOM. We are demanding the “EARNED LEAVE” for a long time back but in vain.

yes friend that is our demand(EL) for long time,it is said that we can’t enjoy it bcause we r in vacation dep.
you r leaving the present school on 10th July,u have completed 1 yr in June(July-June),so your school can grant 15 med.leaves,it should b written properly in service book, earned, credit nd balance leaves should b mentioned clearly.Book must b duly signed by H.M. nd counter signed by related D.I.
You should open a new service book in your new school,it is my advice,
all the best for your new work place

Sorry friend. I dont think so. One service book should be maintained as the service will be continued.

I fully agree with Mr. Somnath Das on the issue relating to the maintenance of Service Book. Multiplication of Service Book is not at all recommendable. As per the extant govt. rules the S/Book opened on the date of first appointment is to be maintained in the office in which the employee concerned renders service and, on his/her transfer to another office it should be compulsorily transferred to the new office by the old office after making all the up-to-date entries under proper attestation. The old S/Book kept tied to the new one in another office/deptt. may get detached and misplaced due to manhandling/ improper maintenance, escaping the eye of custodian and give rise to a severe consequence at the time of retirement.

I also think There will be one and only one service book for whole service period. If he/she transfer from one school to another, or he/ she be an H. M. then also the service book opened for the first time will be continued.

There is a little difference to write a service book. First portion of the service book contains -colmn.5- Date of appointment, 6-Pay and Special Pay if any,7-Date of termination of appointment,8-Reason for termination of appointment (Such as promotion, pay revision, resignation, dismissal etc.and 9-Nature and duration of leave taken.
Many of us the tenure of service count (i) from January to December, (ii) according to Academic session,(iii) Date of joining to December etc.etc. The leave (other than C.L.) is also shown in such way on the Second portion (g) LEAVE ACCOUNT.
    * It is absolutely wrong to do.
**It will be count from the appointing date to one year later. For example:-PERIOD OF DUTY will be 22-07-2011 to 21-07-2012, and then 22-07-12 to 21-07-13 and so on…..
*** There is no question of breaking the length of one year service.

My date of joining as an AT is 22/7/02. I am going to leave the school on MUTUAL TRANSFER on 10/7/12. Now,in leave account from 22/7/11 to 10/7/12, medical leave earned on average pay should be taken as 14 days

**** This column will may be filled by 22/7/11 to 10/7/12=14 days (in old school)
and 11/07/12 to 21/07/12 =1 day (in new school)
next year it will be 22/07/12 to 21/07/13=15 days.
No, most probably there is no G.O. about it.
    Thank you
