My wife working as a Project Assistant in RKVY project (Climate change) under Uttar Banga Krishi Viswavidyalaya. Her appointment is ad hoc. She is working since May, 2010. Now she is pregnant and expected delivery date is February (last week). I want to know whether she can get the maternity leave as per the maternity benefit act ? Have any rules/act which she will submit to her employer ? Please help me.
Surely she will get 180 days of Maternity Leave. Authority should never deny the admissibility. I am sorry I could not provide you the relevant G.O. at this moment. As such no need to submit the order while applying for Maternity Leave. If any problem arises I shall definitely try to provide the G.O. thank you.
