Dear friends,
please provide me the rules and notifications regarding the honorarium of the cook and helpers engaged in cooking mid-day meal at school. I have heard that they can get honorarium for 10 months only but they need to cook all 12 months if necessary. Is it correct?

@mihir acharya: Many thanks friend for your reply. sorry to say I could not find anything in the MDM book (file) uploaded by you on 3/912 about the ten month running of the program instead i saw the program is to run through out the year (cf point no iii under the DM etc responsibility page 2 of 28 of the said guideline).
Please help me to find out the order for 10 moth mdm.
In our school(primary) Mdm schedule is prepared by block or other office (don’t know exactly). In that schedule MDM is done in all the month though days varies but SHGs will get honorium only for 10 month! Why are they deprived of their honorium which they should get for their service. Or can they deny to cook for those days? In our school (as heard) honorium will not be given for oct and nov this year.
I am waiting for your wise reply.

They have to cook food for the students 10 months and they get their remuneration for 10 months only @ 1000/- per month (for 10 months).In summer vacation and in the puja vacation it is stopped.

Many thanks Mr.Acharya for such valuable documents. It is clear that the cook-cum helpers will get remuneration for 10 month only. But as in the earlier guideline it is clearly said that MDM should run through out the year. But according to your post (quoted above the MDM should be stopped for two months. Can you please give link/document for 10 months MDM order. So that we can help our SHG co-workers at school. Besides, if it really happen that they have to work for 12 months and get payment for 10 months is it not illigal?
I wouldn’t mind if their remuneration would be made on daily basis as the cost of the cooking materials is done.
I am waiting for discussion on this matter.
