In West Bengal, there are only 2 PSKs, e.g. Kolkata and Berhampore. Now, the offline mode of Passport application has been demolished. The system has become fully online. One has to take prior appointment by making payment online and has to attend the PSK at the scheduled date and time with relevant documents. It is really difficult for people residing in Cooch Behar or Jalpaiguri for obtaining passport after fulfilling so many criteria. It would be easier if there was a PSK in Siliguri. What do you think, friends?
It was in the news back in 2009 that there would be five PSK in West Bengal.
Kolkata – 2 Nos.
Berhampore – 1 No.
Siliguri – 1 No.
Kharagpur – 1 No.
The next possible implementation is at Siliguri. So, let’s wait and see.

I had a passport which expired on 31st Jan 2011. As I am a Govt. employee and want to renew the passport , I am to submit Xerox copy of passport , address proof , photograph and a no objection Certificate in Annexure M from appointing authority(employer). Am I correct? please confirm and comment if more document required.
