Myself Vet officer (basic 19680; gpay-5400; pay band: 4A; 15600-42000; gpay-5400). Can i get pay protection of basic in central govt -grade III (15600-39100; gpay-5400 in direct rcruitment.

Yes, as per FR 22(1)(a)(2) you are entitled to get pay protection.
