I just come to know from a friend who is working in a school under Purulia D.I that they are supplied with a form inquiring about untrained teachers for B.ED in ODL method. I just want to know from all of you, is the rule already passed? When from the session is beginning.Thank You.

Are you talking about rules regarding B. Ed. in ODL mode for deputed teachers? If yes then go through the following link. B. Ed. in ODL mode became compulsory for the deputed teachers who scored less than 50% in graduation or masters in terms of NCTE regulations 2009 (second amendment). Please peruse 456(14)-Edn(U) and 643(14)-Edn(U) in the said link. Hope they will be helpful for you.

Two Teachers without B. Ed. degree joined in a H.S. School as follows:
They joined on same date and at the same time: on 20.12.2008 at 10:30 am
Teacher 1:
Subject: Computer Science
Post: PG
Section: H.S.
Post Category: SC
Date of Birth: 16.07.1984
Teacher 2:
Subject: Life Science
Post: Pass
Section: Madhyamik
Post Category: ST
Date of Birth: 29.04.1983
They both applied on same date on 08.11.2012 to MC for seeking permission for B. Ed course on deputation.
MC decided to give permission to only one teacher to do B. Ed in one session.
Then,
1. Who will be selected?
2. What is the reason for the selection?
3. Is there any G.O. for selection?
Thank you,

I think its totally depend on MC. Never seen any G.O. regarding this. Lets see what others say.November 10, 2012 at 5:04 am #75219AnonymousInactiveRe: B. Ed. Permission Problem
The following G.O. is self explanatory:
GOVERNMENT OF WEST BENGAL
Education Department, C.S. Branch
No. 297-Edn.(CS)/14A-6/83 Pt. Dated, Calcutta, the 26th February, 1985.
Sub: Norms regarding admission of deputed teacher candidates to the B.Ed. Course of the Teachers’ Training colleges/ Departments in West Bengal.
The undersigned is directed by order of the Governor to say that in modification of G.O. No. 1368-Edn(CS) dt. 27.6.73, The Governor is pleased to direct that the following norms be observed in the matter of selection of deputed teacher candidates for admission to the B.Ed. Course of Teachers’ Training colleges/ Departments in the State from the academic session 1985-86.
(1) Selection of deputed teacher candidate should be made on the basis of their length of approved service in Secondary Schools;
(2) When the lengths of approved service be the same, priority should be given to those with postgraduate qualification and then to the Honours graduates over others, as laid down in G.O. No. 1368-Edn(CS) dt. 27.6.73;
(3) When the lengths of approved service and qualifications be the same, priority should be determined on the basis of average of the percentage of marks secured in different examinations staring from the Madhyamik Examination or its equivalent.

@bhaskar Roy,
As per instruction in Para 2 of G.O.No. 297-Edn.(CS)/14A-6/83 Pt. dated, Calcutta, the 26th February, 1985 read with G.O. No. 1368-Edn(CS) dt. 27.6.73 the PG teacher shall be preferred to take up B.Ed. course immediately.
@nemo: Thank you very much to help me pass this tough test (!) by adopting unfair means (copying from you).
Anyway, it is a general norm that the SENIOR members in the service are always preferred in such a conflict because they assume duties and responsibilities of greater importance. We see its reflection in Section 14 of Control of Expenditure Act,2005 where ONLY PG teachers are eligible to enhance qualifications and receive financial relief as per Secn. 14(3).November 10, 2012 at 7:44 am #75221AnonymousInactiveRe: B. Ed. Permission Problem
I See!! Thanks a lot Nemo.November 10, 2012 at 11:32 am #75225AnonymousInactiveRe: B. Ed. Permission Problem
Thanks for your useful reply nemo,
Kindly provide G.O. No. 1368-Edn(CS) dt. 27.6.73
Thanks in advanceNovember 10, 2012 at 11:46 am #75226AnonymousInactiveRe: B. Ed. Permission Problem
Dear bhaskarroy,
Why the M.C. has not given the permission to 2 (two) teachers?They both applied on same date on 08.11.2012 to MC for seeking permission for B. Ed course on deputation.
MC decided to give permission to only one teacher to do B. Ed in one session.According to the D.S.E.’s Memo No.982/SC/G dt. 07/03/68 MC may depute to the course not more than 2 (two) teachers.
So, the M.C. should allow two teachers to take their training. D.I. also allows 2 (two) teachers at a time for deputation.November 10, 2012 at 5:31 pm #75235AnonymousInactiveRe: B. Ed. Permission Problem
MC tells that if they give the permission to 2 (two) teachers on deputation, then school will be hampered.
How to get the permission for 2 (two) teachers on deputation in one session?
If there are any process or legal advice, kindly let me know.
Thank you, -
