Friends,
What is ‘Post Facto Approval’ , when and how it is done?June 2, 2013 at 4:14 am #78084AnonymousInactiveApproval accorded after the work is done i.e. approval for an act with retrospective effect. For example, a teacher has enhanced qualification without consent of D.I. He is not entitled to claim any benefit for that as he has not taken prior approval of D.I. If he now wishes to avail of any benefit for that higher qualification he may seek post facto approval of D.I. for enhancement of that qualification. If favourably considered by D.I. he may get ex-post facto approval as if he had sought permission prior to commencement of that higher study.

I’ve got this query in a private maessage . I’ve put it here for your opinion.i was appointed as an A.T. in a govt.aided secondary school in May 2005.A resolution was adopted by the M.C.for me to persue b.ed on deputation in 2007 but i was unwilling to go for a regular b.ed. course.i made a pryer to D.I. through Headmaster to allow me to do the said course from IGNOU in the session 2009-2010 but no reply has come till today. This prayer was made on 12/11/08.i made another prayer to the Headmaster on the same date for providing me an experience certificate and a certificate for providing me facilities for conducting B.Ed practicals. Headmaster gave me the both certificates and i took admission in B.Ed in IGNOU on 28/11/2008. No resolution could be adopted to this effect because there was neither Administrator nor M.C. in the school since 25/02/2008.Later an administrator was appointed in 2009 but she refused to adopt resolution on the ground that i have already taken admission but i continued to persue the course. I completed it successfully in 2011. i appeared at exams in summer vacation so no study leave was needed. The then administrator made an order to allow me to sit for the exams as their was no need of study leave. After completion of B.Ed i made another prayer to the administrator through the head of the institution to record my degree of B.Ed in my service record and to ensure me uninterrupted increment of salary. the administrator passed an order stating that my degree is accepted and allowing me to enjoy normal increment of salary without interruption and i am enjoying normal increment. My problem is that I don’t have prior permission so will i face problems in future regarding my degree? Will D.I. accept my degree or treat it as invalid? What should i do?
@sagar4u111: you may seek post-facto approval from the D.I. of schools with all the details. I think you ill get i easily. However, the court is open for you if you fail to get it from the D.I. of schools. Besides you are getting all the benefit as a trained teacher so it will be unexpected to question your degree on a fine morning.
