If one existing state govt. employee going to join new state govt. office through direct recruitment then
1.Whether she has to tender her resignation to her current office before joining to another deptt?
    2. Whether she has to serve one month’s notice before tendering her resignation? if there is shortage of time(7days) then what procedure should be followed to resign from her current assignment? If she submit one month’s salary through treasury challan instead of giving one month’s notice then will it be admissible or not?
3.Is their any provision to continue two office for some days!! actually I want to say that her new office not going to take any medical/PVR before joining so She is little bit scared. My question is Is it possible to tender her resignation after 1week/2 week after her joining to new office? During these period’s salary she may submit to her previous employer. Please suggest .Thank you

No state govt. employee can join in new place until he/she resigned from his/her previous post. Is it possible that a person will serve at a time in tow place ? Let’s know what will say our respective members.

If asked by the deptt., a permanent govt. employee is liable to tender resignation with three months’ notice to take up appointment in another govt. deptt. The resignation becomes effective when it is accepted and the employee is relieved of duties in parent deptt.
If a permanent employee does not tender resignation and is simply relieved of duties on lien to join another govt. deptt. he/she is required to tender resignation from the previous post in parent deptt. after confirmation of his service in new deptt. on completion of probationary period.
If he/she is a temporary employee, resignation letter containing one month’s notice is to be served for termination of service. If there is no reply from the Authority, the temporary employee has right to cease to perform his duties on expiry of one month period. But, if the resignation letter does not contain any such time limit in relation to termination of service, he/she may be allowed to quit only when his resignation is accepted and he/she is relieved of duties.

In case of a temporary employee it should be a one months’ notice, while for a permanent employee the prescribed time limit is three months. Time limit for relief of duty should be clearly mentioned in the resignation letter. A permanent employee quitting his service before receiving intimation of acceptance of resignation is liable to face departmental and legal proceedings.
Provision for deposition of one months’ salary is available to permanent employees. A temporary employee is not required to deposit one months’ salary in lieu of notice.

In the case temporary employee there is no provision to serve two deptts. simultaneously. It is possible only when a permanent employee holds lien on the previous post in parent deptt.
PVR is required only for Group-A and Group-B state govt. employees before entering the govt. service for the first time. Subsequent appointment in another deptt. with continuity of service benefits does not invoke further PVR.
Medical test is required to be done for all the employees irrespective of rank before entering the govt. service for the first time. For subsequent appointment in another deptt. further medical test is not required.
If a permanent employee is simply relieved of duties on lien to join another govt. deptt.(without resignation) he/she is required to tender resignation from the previous post in parent deptt. after confirmation of his service in new deptt. on completion of probationary period. But, if the employee is asked by the parent deptt. to resign before relief of duties he/she is under compulsion to resign the post in that deptt. before taking up appointment in new deptt. But he may be permitted to hold lien on previous post while in service in new deptt. A temporary employee is not entitled to get lien and hold post in previous deptt. after his relief.
