I am already in Govt. Service and I want to upgrade it. Please Help.
I am a Process Server under the Judgeship of Purba Medinipur, Judicial Department, Govt. of West Bengal, since 08-08-2012, in the scale of Pay of Rs. 5,400/- to Rs. 25,200/- with Grade Pay of Rs.2,300/-(PB – II). The Service was confirmed after completion of three years of Service by the Authority. G.P.F. A/C No. also allotted in proper time by the A.G., Bengal.
Recently, I got appointment as a Lower Division Clerk in the scale of Pay of Rs. 5,400/- to Rs. 25,200/- with Grade Pay of Rs. 2,600/-(PB – II) in the same organization as a fresh candidate (UR) when the prayer sought for appearing in the examination and post was granted by the Authority.
Now, my questions are – 1. What will be my New Pay fixation? 2. As the Pay Band remain same (PB – II), shall I entitle to get the eight years benefit from my joining in Govt. Service w.e.f. 08-08-2012? 3. Will the pervious Length of Service be added to my new Service? 4. As G.P.F. A/C No. already allotted, can I contribute to that as usual?
Please help me with supporting Govt. Orders as early as possible.
I appeared the “Staff Recruitment Examination – 2011” conducted by “Purba Medinipur District Judgeship” for the post of “Process Server” and joined on 08-08-2012.
Then, I appeared the “Staff Recruitment Examination – 2015” conducted by “Purba Medinipur District Judgeship” for the post of “LDC (UR)” after getting the permission.
Generally, when someone is appointed as a fresh candidate his pay is fixed at the entry level basic pay. However, his past service is counted for other benefits.
New Pay in your case would be (Rs. 5,400/- + Rs. 2,600/-). But as you have taken prior permission from appropriate authority, please check whether any comments regarding pay is mentioned there or not.
Your GPF account will be the same and should be continued.
Thanks for your information. Kindly provide me the G.O. regarding “other benefits” like Eight Years Benefit related to past service.
I do not know whether you have already joined to your new post…however, you would get pay fixation benefit as per 42 A (1) of WBSR part I. Moreover, you would get past service benefits for pension and leave.
