    Friends,
    Following is the situation with regard to the selection of employees for promotion from LDC grade to UDC grade in a Deptt. under Govt. of WB.
    In the year 2012, there are 50 posts of UDC. The posts are filled 100% by PROMOTION from the feeder grade of LDC who have completed 8 years service. The reservation roster for the post of UDC is given in Table-I. In the next calendar year i.e. 2013, FIVE vacancies will arise on account of retirement of five employees of UDC grade. The employees who will be retiring and their date of retirement are shown in the table:
    TABLE – I: The reservation roster as on 31.12.2012 for grade of UDC (there is no Carry Forward vacancy for either SC or ST)

    The question is, which five employees will be promoted from LDC grade?
    What will be their position in the seniority list of UDC after promotion

    Thank you so much Mr.Polo for creating such an importent topic. Its really a hard work. This kind of discussions are very much helpful to us but I am sorry I dont have any experience or knowledge about it.
