Sir,
One primary school having low roll strength (less than 20) in thinly tribal populated area with two teacher and one para teacher. Is it possible/admissible to close that school completely as per RTE rule or any govt. policy? And If that happens then Can it also be possible to transfer those teachers (permanent) to other circle at any schools having high PTR?? What is exact current govt. policy regarding these kind of school having low roll strength?? Thank you.
I am sorry to intervene but I don’t think that to implement the “Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act”, State Govt. shall take such steps towards closing of a School. As far as I learnt from the news paper that to implement this Act, SSC has created a vacancy as high as 39,510. This figure may increase.
I think you are absolutely correct Asif. I would like to give you 10 points for this reply if the system was here. The point system may start soon (keep it secret)
As per rule 3.(c) of G.O. No. 768-Edn(P) dated 22.11.1991,
Roll strength of a Teacher:
If, on the basis of a report from the District Inspector of Schools (Primary Education) a post of teacher in a Primary School is found to be in excess, compared to the number of pupils according to subrule (a), that excess post may be transferred by the Council to another Primary School, within its jurisdiction, having need for post according to the number of pupils.
But Sir,1.Then what is the method to determine surplus teacher? I mean If in the primary school two teacher (one is Teacher in charge and another one asst.teacher)and one para teacher are in position then who will be directed to get transfer( if question arise)?
