InactiveHi,
This is BASAB CHATTERJEE from the Health Department of Government of West Bengal. I am having a problem related to the sanctioning of Earned Leave. I want to know for Group A officers, who will be the leave sanctioning authority? Will it be the Cadre Controlling Authority or the Appointing Authority only?
Please also post the relevant order for this topic. I will be highly benefited.
Thanks & best regards

InactiveFirst of all, I welcome you into this community.
Thanks for joining. We hope your active participation in various discussion.
As per WBSR Rule 151, Leave of Group ‘A’ employees may be granted by the appointing authority or by any authority empowered in this behalf by the Government.
I think, controlling authority in most cases, vested the power to sanction such leave.13.03.2013 at 2:30 am #77350Anonymous
Inactive‘Employer’ who gives pay & allowances is the EL sanctioning authority. He has financial power. See the ‘name of employer’ in Form-16. Generally it is the Head of Office if he has financial power for disbursement of pay & allowances of employees working in that office.
