May 12, 2013 at 1:38 pm #77965AnonymousInactiveTHIS IS THE NEW REVISED COMBINATION OF SUBJECTS THAT WILL BE EFFECTIVE FROM 2013 SESSION
Students have to select three compulsory elective subjects and one additional elective subject from any one of the following sets of subjects: i.e. the choice must be confined to any ONE of the following sets of subjects.
SET I
• Physics or Nutrition
• Chemistry or Economics
• Mathematics or Psychology
• Biological Science
• Statistics or Geography
• Computer Science or Computer Application or Environment Science
SET II
• Accountancy
• Business Studies
• Economics or Journalism & Mass Communication
• Computer Application or Environment Studies or Physical Education
• Mathematics
• Statistics or Geography
SET III
• Political Science
• Education or Agronomy
• Journalism & Mass Communication or Economics
• Philosophy or Sociology
• History or Anthropology or Psychology or Mathematics
• Geography or Home Management and Family Resource Management
• Music or Physical Education or Environment Studies or Computer Application
• Sanskrit or Persian or Arabic
Salient Features to Note :
1. Environment Studies is no longer an additional compulsory subject but a full fledged elective subject . Good news for our young friends who have post graduated with Environmental Science. This means teachers of Environmental Science/Studies might be recruited soon.
2. No subject like Economic Geography which was more of a filler subject and many considered it utterly useless.
3. Geography in Commerce Combination (Set 2)
Feel free to share your thoughts on the above.May 13, 2013 at 2:45 pm #77975AnonymousInactiveWhere have you seen it?

What about Physical Education in H.S section? Is the subject included as a Compulsary or Additional subject? Is there any little chance for the Phy.Education Teacher to get M.P.Ed scale in future..May 14, 2013 at 2:22 pm #77980AnonymousInactiveFriends,
What about Physical Education in H.S section? Is the subject included as a Compulsary or Additional subject? Is there any little chance for the Phy.Education Teacher to get M.P.Ed scale in future..Physical Education will be an elective subject according to the booklet supplied by the WBCHSE. So it can be expected that teachers will be required for this. I do not know if it would result in teachers being granted permission to pursue M.P.Ed. However, there is no harm in hoping.
May 16, 2013 at 3:27 pm #78000AnonymousInactiveIf it is right, then there are lots of problems. First of all, none of the arts student can study the subject Biological sciences. I am an A.T. of a newly upgraded H.S.School, where the only subjects permitted by WBCHSE are, Physics, Chemistry, Math, Biology, History, Geography, Nurtition. Now how it is possible to take admition of a student in arts ? Confused.
