i am a higher secondary school teacher of south 24 parganas west bengal.
i have just received an intimation letter from the income tax dept which says i have my TDS due. but our head master issued me form 16 with exact TDS deduction.
then where is main problem. what should i do?
Common problem! Get a certificate/declaration from HM in support of deduction of tax and its deposition in IT Deptt. with all the details like Challan no.. date etc. Finally submit the original copy of the certificate & photocopy of FORM-16 to ITO.
