Hello D/Sirs,
I am assistant teacher of Pure Science (Pass) and my date of joining is 14/07/2011 and it is permanent post due to up-gradation of school. I have joined M.Sc.(Math) just after joining school but I already intimated the M.C. and ADI.
The M.C. granted the permission by passing the resolution but ADI rejected my intimation letter and MC resolution. But I got rejection letter after my admission. I am doing PG to appear WBSSC at PG level but not to claim PG scale.
I have passed the Part -1 exam. But, I would like to ask you whether my degree will be legally valid? Will there be any dispute in future? Will my study leave would be sanctioned? Please advice.
I am eagerly waiting for your valuable suggestions.

Your M.Sc. degree is valid. In fact, A.D.I. raised objection in accordance with stipulations contained in G.O. 593 dtd 27.11.2007, which has been subsequently set aside by the Hon’ble High Court.

As per G.O. No. 548 SE dated the 24th June,1997, prior permission of D.I. is necessary for enhancement of qualifications through ODL mode. However, the degree shall not be invalid if such permission is not sought beforehand.

@pragya: I also face the same problem. I joined in 2009 in pass category without B.Ed. M.C did not give permission for my master degree. Yet I did it from IGNOU. Now I want to know can I appear in SSC for P.G. or Headmaster in future as a fresher candidate?

After implementation of the High Court Order by the Education Directorate you can apply for PG Teacher/ HM posts through fresh SSC with CONTINUITY of service benefits. See the link:

Now, no in-service teacher will have to wait for the permission of the higher authority in order to enhance educational qualification. I am posting two indispensable G.O.s regarding this.
