In continuation of this post:
and as per members request this poll is created to examine the irregularities (if any) of Control of Provident Fund of Employees Act.
Users may post their Name of the School.March 15, 2012 at 9:05 am #71601AnonymousInactiveRe: How Practice and Law may differ regarding GPF A/c.
Nice topic but I think that there is no such problem is faced by the employees whose account is maintained by A.G.W.B. and as such there should be an another option for mentioning the competent authority who issues the Account slip.March 15, 2012 at 2:38 pm #71606AnonymousInactiveRe: How Practice and Law may differ regarding GPF A/c.
Sir,
Before finding this forum and knowing the rules from this forum itself, I was not aware of the rights of subscribers who compulsorily has to contribute to the fund each month. Such is the state of oblivion, particularly for school teachers, that when verbally asked, a SI of schools also said that there is no system existing for issue of GPF A/c number or annual statement for teachers or non-teaching staff of a secondary school. To be effective I request all the members and viewers of this forum to give this poll a wide publicity, by word of mouth, to all members of teaching community that each of you might be knowing and encourage them to participate in this poll.
@mods: Thank you for accepting my suggestion and acting so quickly as ever. I think the heading should include the word ‘School’ to be more appropriate. This will also take care of the point raised by some in the comment above.
@som: yes, you are right in saying this that the problem is not acute for those employees whose GPF is maintained by W.B.A.G (AG Bengal). But the best part is they are actually central govt. organisation whereas, bengal govt. staff and officers are ignoring the rights of their fellows in other departments.

heading should be SECONDARY SCHOOLS becoz GPF A/Cs of primary schools are maintained by DPSC, THEY DO NOT FORGET TO ISSUE A/C SLIPS! BUT FOR SECONDARY SCHOOLS IT MAINTAINED BY SCHOOL, GENERALLY THEY IGNORE THE RELEVANT PORTION OF THE ORDER No. 134-SE Dated 26th Sept, 1995:
“
7. All subscriber shall have to submit nominations in prescribed form conferring right to receive the amount that may stand to his credit in the fund in the event of his death before that amount has become payable or having become payable has not been paid.
Provided a subscriber shall not make any nomination in favour of a person who is not member of his family. A subscriber having no family may, however, nominate any person provided further that the nomination shall become invalid on subsequently acquiring a family.
8. A subscriber shall be allotted an account number by the Head of the Institution immediately after the starts subscribing to the General Provident Fund.

March 15, 2012 at 6:05 pm #71612AnonymousInactive@ Biku Sir:Are you very sure about your comment regarding Primary Teacher? After reading the following opening comment ,on the topic created by Sri Pal in this forum, I can not agree with you. Kindly go through the topic and then please share your considered opinion .
Thanks anyway for your interest. In case of Teachers(Specially Pry.) As per ROPA’98 Vide G.O. No. 25 S E IM/102/98 dt. 12/2/09 Col.-3 ‘Mode of drawl of arrears of Pay” …… from the 1st April 1997 to 31st Oct’1998 shall be paid by crediting to some of the P.F. account. This amount so credited shall not be taken …..till31/10/2001.
But we are receiving our salary as per ROPA’98 for the month of Feb’1999. I think arrears salary of ROPA’98 has been deposited for the period of 1/4/97 to 31/1/1999 ie 22month.
After that vide G.O. No. 87 S E /IM-118/99 dt.6/3/2000 Col-B , ..Payment of all such arrears of pay and allowances shall be made through credit to the deposit accounts of P.F. Col.-4 An amount of Rs. 476.49 Corers is placed at the Disposal of the D.S.E (W.B.)
Another Vide G.O. N.o.- 12834F dt. 06/12/1993 says even if the amount would credited to T.O. after 5/10 year from the due date .Interest will be pay for the due date ie.1997.
sorry to say, we have not yet taken any annual P.F. statement in Form -10. We are totally ignorant whether the amount has all ready deposited in our own P.F. A/c and also about the interest whether it has also deposited from the due date or not.what is the present condition of the said interest? What is the way to collect correct information in written? Please help any one. with thanks to all.March 15, 2012 at 6:23 pm #71613AnonymousInactiveThanks Mr. Biku, Kaushik, Pal and all. I think the polling should be perfect if we can make it separate for Primary, Secondary, State Govt employees etc or provide a mandatory option to select any of the above.
