Can any member guide me as to where the hand book of G.Os and Circulars published by the Directorate of Treasuries Govt. of West Bengal would be available in Kolkata against the payment of its cost? Recently Volume V of the said book consisting of part 1&II has been published with a new up dated book of WBHS 2008 but the same is not available at the sales counter of Govt. of West Bengal at new secreteriat building Kolkata.
July 14, 2012 at 6:33 am #73225AnonymousInactiveI had searched the book a week ago at N.S. building, they told me it would only be available from Directorate of Treasury near Writers’ Buildings. Yesterday I had sent a person to buy the book. He reported me that the office is at 4 no. near RBI (Writers’ Buildings). The book is not for sale, it will be provided only after placing requisition from the appropriate authority. Right now it is not available; it will be available after two weeks, they said. So, I am waiting..

July 26, 2012 at 2:30 pm #73414AnonymousInactiveKindly guide us about the name and address of the office and the person to whom the application or requisition has to be made. What should be the contents of the requisition? Whether the earlier volumes are also available.Kindly extend your co-operation at earliest before the book again goes out of stock.
July 26, 2012 at 2:35 pm #73415AnonymousInactiveAn application is to be made to:
The Director of Treasuries and Accounts
New India Assurance Building
2nd & 3rd Floor
4, Lyons Range
Kolkata – 700 001
by not below the rank of any Executive Officer.
The Books is to be collected personally with the appropriate requisition letter. They don’t have plenty of stocks of such publications.
I have collected both the parts of Volume V (Part I is of 449 pages and Part II is of 511 pages).
Requisition is to made asking for issue of the said publication (i.e. Handbook of General Circulars, Volume – V, Part I & II) for office use only.July 28, 2012 at 11:31 am #73448AnonymousInactiveThank you very much, I got the book.

A number of members seek suggesstions and most of them get the same as per available resources. But very rarely some one sends the feed back of the success or failures. This discourages the advisor and sincere members keep on thinking about the fate of the employee’s problem. I would request all the members to please keep posting their feed back or experiences which they acheive with the help of this site or any other lawful way so that the others may learn also. -
