Still there is wide lacuna exist in providing true & prompt services to our common people in different government offices and this is due to decade long MISRULE provided by the then Left-Front Government. NOW, It is an Open Secret that in every Vital Service providing Government Offices ( there is wide availability of Back-Door or under-Table work system)—— —such as 1) New Water Supply connection under Municipality/Corporation/ Panchayat 2) Land/Building Mutation
and also the sanction of Building Plan and also to get Birth/ Death Certificate under Municipality/Corporation/ Panchayat is still a HERCULEAN-TASK and have to face so many Hurdles and Brokers by each and every Service Seeker(i.e. MANUSH). NEXT, RATION Offices under state Food & Civil Supply Department is a Breeding Hub of Corruption, & where unnecessary indulgence is being given to the Local Brokers to make Brokering Business with the help of a few corrupted concerned STAFF i.e. Issuance of New Card, Card transfer issue, Address change, Renewal of LAPSED and etc. Myself experienced a bad practical experience on 29/01/14 and also on 12/02/2014 at Dum Dum Ration Office, near by Shishu Bharti School and forced me to utter hereby that still “there is abnormal Tardiness exist in Work-Culture” and myself wasted two days to QUEUE UP in long Public line but failed to get Form as require, due to improper Advice guide by the staff concern ( this is nothing but to force odd-problem-base Form Seeker to take the help of Local Broker, which implied that a few staff will get a share from Brokers). This type of Picture is also still available in different Government wings where “COMMON MANUSH” need Prompt tension free and also Hazard-Free Services from Government Departments( Specially in Municipal Services) . Kindly do not believe in the “Statistical-cum-Paper Jugglery of the alleged Departmental officers’ feed-back report. Pray you to implement ” TATKAL SERVICES IN PUBLIC UTILITY DEPARTMENTS” such as Municipalities/Corporation, Food supply i.e. Ration offices, Consumer Affairs and BLRO offices in hurried manner to give Time Bound services to our Common Manush in exchange of special tariff without any refusal to accept any Odd-or Critical Cases. There should be an ” Invisible Watch-Dog or Whistleblower” to check performance of the staff concern in off & on surprise visit manner, for onward submission of his/her report to the Competent Authorities.

State Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee called the move as a ‘historic’ one.

“Today (02/02/2014) is a historic and a red-letter day for our State Government. For the first time, the Hon’ble Governor of West Bengal, respected Shri M. K. Narayanan visited the State Secretariat, ‘Nabanna’. Such a visit by the Hon’ble Governor to the State Secretariat is unprecedented,” Banerjee said in a Facebook post.

“The Hon’ble Governor released the ‘Administrative Calendar’ of all the Departments of the State Government for the year 2014 in the premises of ‘Nabanna’,” she said.
