Sub: Withdrawal of family income criteria from the eligibility of Kanyashree Prakalpa
From Kanyashree Year 2018-19.

“Kanyashree Prakalpa”, the flagship Scheme of Government of West Bengal was designed with the aim to improve status and well being of the adolescent girl child in the State of West Bengal by giving annual incentives to school going girls from 13 (thirteen) years to 18 (eighteen) years of age and also a one-time grant to girls who have completed 18 (eighteen) years age and not crossed 19 years of age. The scheme was open only to girls from families with an annual income not greater than Rs. 1.20 lakh.
