Sub: Regarding sanction of Additional/ Contractual teachers.
The undersigned is directed to refer to the above noted subject and to state that this Department has been given approval for appointment of 1500 (One thousand five hundred) contractual teachers by the retired teachers from the Finance Department for Higher Secondary Section of Govt. Aided/ Sponsored School. Necessary order regarding recruitment process, payment of fund will be issued later on following terms and condition:
1. Part time teachers may be selected from the retired school/ college teachers with Hons./ PG qualifications on required subject for H.S. Class.
2. Maximum 6 to 8 classes (6 for non-lab and 8 for lab based subjects) per week are to be allotted for a subject for each class (XI /XII).
3. Remuneration @ Rs. 200/- will be paid per class.
4. Such part time teachers may be engaged for H.S. Section where the post for subject teachers are yet to be sanctioned or against the short term vacancy created due to deputation of teacher to expert committee.
It is also stated that this Department has also about 400 teaching posts in hand which can be sanctioned for the H.S. Section of the Govt. aided/ Sponsored Schools.
There are some cases where the subject has been withdrawn as the required post has no sanction. Two such letters are attached herewith for appraisal. The cases should get priority where stream cannot run due to non-availability of one or two teachers.
Accordingly, the undersigned is directed to request him to prepare priority lists of the schools which are urgently in need of subject teachers to run the Higher Secondary Sections and send the list to this Department as early as possible for taking necessary action.
The matter is extremely urgent.
