MEMORANDUM
The Scale of pay of Bengali Translator was revised from Scale No. 10 i.e. Rs. 1390 – 2970/- to Scale No. 12 i.e. Rs. 4800-10925/-w.e.f. 1.1.96 notionally actual benefit from 1.1.2007 vide this Department’s Order No. 548-ICA dt. 27.2.09.
2. Consequent upon the revision of the scale of pay of the Bengali Translator clarifications have been sought for regarding various aspect of fixation of Pay.
3. After careful consideration of the matter, the Governor is further pleased to order as follows:-
(i) The officer holding the post of Bengali Translator may exercise option to come under the said revised scale of pay as is allowed vide this Department’s Order No. 548-ICA dt. 27.2.09 w.e.f. any date between 1.1.96 to 1.1.97 (both days inclusive) within 30 days from the date of issue of this order.
(ii) The pay in the revised Scale would be fixed on the basis of unrevised pay in the unrevised Scale under WBS (ROPA) Rules, 1990.
(iii) The first higher Scale, Second higher Scale and third higher Scale of Bengali Translator for the purpose of CAS-’90/ MCAS-’01 benefit would be Scale No. 13 (Rs. 5000-11275/-), Scale No. 14 (Rs. 5500-11325/-) and Scale No. 15 (Rs. 6000-12000/-) respectively. The said Scale of pay would take national effect from 1.1.96 for CAS-’90 benefit and from 1.1.2001 for MCAS-’01 benefit with actual benefit from 1.1.2007.
This order is issued with the concurrence of the Finance Department vide their U.O. No. 868/ Group-C (Pay) dated 2.4.09
