The functions of the Finance Department are performed through 5 (five) branches, namely, Audit, Budget, Revenue, Internal Audit and Institutional Finance.

It shall not be necessary to consult the PSC, WB in regard to promotion to posts, permanent or temporary, the appointing authority for which is an authority subordinate to the State Government.
Interest-free festival advance upto a maximum of Rs. 8,000/- only to state Government employees whose revised emoluments on 31st march, 2019 exceeded Rs. 30,000/- per month but did not exceed Rs. 36,000/- per month.
During this period priority shall be processing of the urgent bills related to essential services like Health, Fire and emergency, Police, Civil Defence, Bills related to Salary, Wages, Pension, Social Assistance Schemes, Scholarships, payment of agencies providing Security/ Housekeeping/ Conservancy/ Man power supply, etc.
e-Bantan module will cover the entire processes of digitized fund flow ending up at the Drawing and Disbursing Officer’s level. For the purpose, it requires provisioning of Internet Connectivity up to the DDO level.
State Government Pensioners/ Family Pensioners shall draw Dearness Relief @75% of Basic Pension/ Basic Family Pension with effect from 1st January, 2016 onwards.
