The functions of the Finance Department are performed through 5 (five) branches, namely, Audit, Budget, Revenue, Internal Audit and Institutional Finance.
Undisbursed amount of cash should be deposited to the Govt. account within three months. A certificate by DDO after physical verification of cash and record.
Governor is pleased to constitute the 6th State Finance Commission, West Bengal. The Chairman and the other members of the Commission shall hold office for two years from the date on which they assume office.
Pay will be Rs. 10,000/- for Group ‘C’, Rs. 12,000/- for Group ‘B’ and Rs. 15,000/- for Group ‘A’ per month or the remuneration applicable to a reemployed employee as per rule.
Daily Allowance is a uniform allowance for each day of absence from headquarter which is intended to cover the ordinary daily charges incurred by a Govt employee in consequence of such absence while on tour.
Further clarification of certain points in respect of Memo No. 7370-F dated 09.10.2015 and No. 427-F dated 25.01.2016 regarding LTC and HTC for State Govt. employees.

West Bengal Services (Secretariat Common Cadres of Deputy Secretaries and Assistant Secretaries) Rules, 1984 shall apply to all Government employees holding in the Secretariat Departments and Offices mentioned in the Schedule the posts borne in the Secretariat Common Cadres formed under rule 4.
Group – A: All employees having Entry Pay in the Pay-Level with a minimum Rs. 35,800/- and above with Level of Pay ranging from 12 and above. Group – B: Rs. 24,700/-and above with Level of Pay ranging from 7 to 11. Group – C: Rs. 18,800/-and above with Level of Pay ranging from 3 to 6. Group – D: Rs. 17,000/- and above with Level of Pay ranging in 1 and 2.
Consequent upon promulgation of the West Bengal Services (Revision of Pay and Allowance) Rules, 2019 certain points have been raised from different corners regarding various aspects of fixation of pay.
While issuing sanction orders for retention of hiring of vehicles and allowing hiring of a new vehicle as replacement of existing one in exercise of the powers delegated under this memorandum.
