The functions of the Finance Department are performed through 5 (five) branches, namely, Audit, Budget, Revenue, Internal Audit and Institutional Finance.
Introduction of New Old Age Pension Schemes under the Jai Bangla Scheme 2020 namely Taposili Bandhu for Scheduled Caste and Jai Johar for Scheduled Tribe. All SC and ST persons above the age of 60 years are eligible under the scheme and shall receive a pension of Rs. 1,000 per month.
A Govt. employee shall be deemed to be on probation on completion of continuous temporary service for two years after his initial appointment in a post or cadre.
Grant of Dearness Allowance to State Government Employees and the employees of Government aided Educational Institutions, employees of Statutory Bodies, Government Undertakings, Panchayats including Panchayat Karmee, Municipal Corporations/ Municipalities, Local Bodies etc. and also Dearness Relief to the Pensioners/ Family Pensioners.
The question of revision of scales of pay of Excise Constable and Assistant Sub-Inspector under the administrative control of Excise Department have been under consideration of the Government for some time past.
It has been decided that fifty percent of the third installment of arrear will be paid to the State Government Employees and the remaining fifty percent will be decided later.
Staffs/ Officers may be allowed to sign the Attendance Register and record attendance upto and within 45 minutes of the scheduled time of attendance in the morning.
The amount of one time terminal benefit for the contractual personnel on attaining the age of 60/65 years will be enhanced to Rs. 5.00 lakh from 2.00 lakh/ 3.00 lakh
Salary including Grant-in-Aid salary, Wages, remuneration, stipend, honorarium for the month of September, 2025 will be paid on 24th & 25th September, 2025 respectively.
Contractual/ Casual/ Piece-rated/ Daily-rated Workers may be engaged in any other entity, local fund or in any project, scheme or office under the Govt. on the same rate of remuneration. Such engagement will not be regularized in future.
Governor has been pleased to decide that enhancement of rate of Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief in respect of the employees and Pensioners/ Family Pensioners shall be effective from 01/04/2024 instead of 01/05/2024.
