The functions of the Finance Department are performed through 5 (five) branches, namely, Audit, Budget, Revenue, Internal Audit and Institutional Finance.
Grant of Dearness Allowance to State Government Employees and the employees of Government aided Educational Institutions, employees of Statutory Bodies, Government Undertakings, Panchayats including Panchayat Karmee, Municipal Corporations/ Municipalities, Local Bodies etc. and also Dearness Relief to the Pensioners/ Family Pensioners.
Governor is pleased to constitute a State CSR Council under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary having the following members:
Loans and Advances of the State Government – Interest rates and other terms and conditions for the Financial Year, 2023-24.
Governor is pleased to declare the following days as Public Holidays under Section 25 of the Negotiable Instrument Act, 1881.
Governor is pleased to accord the issuance of the Uniform Format of Certification to the pensioners/ family pensioners by the Head of Office/ Drawing and Disbursing Authority at the time of superannuation/ death in harness.
Governor is pleased to extend the validity of the same panel of Valuation Agencies for a period of 6 (six) months w.e.f. 17.12.2023.
Clarification in respect of cases of Revision of Pension/ Family Pension of Pre-01.01.2016 Pensioners/ Family Pensioner, where pay structure has been upgraded subsequent to retirement/ death of Ex-Govt. Employee.
Governor is pleased to include the facility for receipts under deduct recovery heads for recovery of overpayments pertaining to all departments under a new service Recovery of overpayment in GRIPS.
Candidates may be given appointment on compassionate ground to the post of Lower Division Clerk without having passed the examination on elementary knowledge in computer operation.
The State Government has decided to observe Parshwanath’s Rathajatra which also falls on the 27th November 2023.
