Pay scale of Principals of Govt. Engineering Colleges
Principals of Degree Level Engineering Colleges shall be allowed the Pay Band of Rs. 37,400 – 67,000/-with AGP of Rs. 10,000/- plus Special Allowance (instead of Special Pay) of Rs. 5,000/- per month.

Upper Age Limit for Assistant Professors and Librarians
Upper age limit for direct recruitment to the posts of Assistant Professors and Librarians in Government and Government-aided colleges and State-aided Universities is enhanced from 37 years to 40 years.

Guidelines regarding Academic Matters related to B.Ed Course
For smooth functioning of academic matters related to B. Ed. course in the State, the State Government in the Higher Education Department has decided to prescribe the following guidelines:

Promotion to Reader/Lecturer (Selection Grade) – Clarification
Minimum length of service for eligibility to move in to the lecturer (Sr. Scale) would be four years for those with Ph.D., five years for those with M.Phil., and six years for others at the level of Lecturer.
