By direct recruitment on the results of the West Bengal Civil Service (Executive) and Allied Services Examination for “Group-A” Services and posts, to be held by the Commission.
PAR Department is mainly engaged in controlling the cadre borne in IAS, WBCS (Executive), West Bengal Secretariat Service, West General Service, West Bengal Assistants & Typists.
By direct recruitment on the results of the West Bengal Civil Service (Executive) and Allied Services Examination for “Group-A” Services and posts, to be held by the Commission.
A number of proposals for awarding different service benefits to the employees of the Government of West Bengal and reorganizing the cadre of different Services of Government of West Bengal through creation of some posts were under consideration of the Government for sometime past.
The West Bengal Group – D Recruitment Board shall be responsible for selecting and recommending candidates for direct recruitment to group D posts via a transparent mechanism.
Governor has been pleased to create additional posts of 20 (twenty) in the rank of Joint Secretary and Additional Secretary under West Bengal Secretariat Service (WBSS).
Introduction of mandatory Annual Health Checkup for the WBCS (Exe) officers of the age of 40 years or above in line with the provisions made in this regard for AIS & Central Civil Service Officers.
All the Departments are requested to forward the re-employment cases to Finance Department prior to issue of re-employment order after due observance of guidelines.
It is ordered that the designated Public Information Officer of each public authority of West Bengal Government shall maintain a REGISTER in the following format to observe receipt of fee, furnishing of information to the payee etc.
The Indian Administrative Service officers posted in the various Department in different capacity such as Joint Secretary/ Additional secretary shall now be re-designated in the following manner:
The Preliminary Examination will consist of only one paper, viz., a paper on “General Studies”. The paper will be of objective type consisting of 200 multiple-choice questions.
Place of sitting West Bengal Staff Selection Commission would be Mayukh Bhavan, Sector- III, 3rd Floor, Salt Lake City, Kolkata- 700 091. Its jurisdiction is the whole of West Bengal.
