West Bengal Government Notification
Public Works Department provides infrastructural support for both original and repair works to all the departments directly under the Govt. of West Bengal.
The different circles under NH Wing of PW (R) Dte. have been reorganized vide Notification No. 236 dt. 27.12.2013. Now, the Governor is pleased to change the jurisdiction of Sub-Divisions under various NH Divisions of NH Wing of PW (R) Dte.
Senior Superintending Engineer of this Department will enjoy financial and technical vetting power equal to that of Superintending Engineer of this Department.
Exemption of Licence fees and Performance Guarantee for laying of water pipe line along and across the roads belonging to PWD for the departments of Government of West Bengal and Urban Local Body of the Government of West Bengal.
The committee shall act as ‘Directorial Committee’ of Public Works Directorate; The cases relating to preparation and finalization of Gradation List of Group – ‘B’, ‘C’ and ‘D’ employees;
Governor has been pleased to make it mandatory to use still & video photography for all projects of PWD, PW(Roads), PWD(Electrical), PWD(Social Sector) before the start of the project and also after completion of the project to understand the details of the work, comparing the past and present scenario.
Governor is pleased in the interest of Public Service to sanction creation of the following posts as mentioned at Col. No. 2 below in the Pay Band Scale with Grade Pay as indicated against each post at Col. No. 4 for the Offices/ Establishments as mentioned at Col. No. 5.
Governor is pleased in the interest of public service to specify names of all Sub-Divisions with respective headquarter and their jurisdiction.
Procedure/ Guidelines for transfer of Building belonging to other Department of the State Government by Public Works Department.
The electrical wing of PWD would only prescribe the capacity of pump motor sites depending on the yield of the tubewell as suggested by the civil wing.
If it is found that roads are damaged and no action has been taken for repair, necessary disciplinary action may be taken against the errant officers.
