Transport Department operates from the State Administrative Buildings, i.e. Writers’ Buildings. The Kolkata RTO office is known as Public Vehicles Department.

Governor is pleased to sanction the opening of the three (3) new Motor Vehicles Offices (ARTO Offices) at Arambagh, Haldia and Ghatal in the public interest.
Registering Authorities will henceforth register the vehicles as per laws and rules and on satisfaction of compliance of all the technical points and standards as are enshrined.
