NOTIFICATION
Sub: Introduction of modalities of GISS Service Tenure Capture of employees through the GISS module
The Group Insurance cum Savings Scheme (GISS) module has been introduced in WBIFMS for maintenance of employee-wise GISS balance for the employees of the State Government vide Memo No: 045-F(J)/FIN-22012/6/2026-GROUP-J SEC-Dept. of FIN dated 26/02/2026 of Finance Department.
Now the Governor is pleased to announce that the employee-wise GISS Service Tenure Capture facility in the newly developed GISS module is functional with immediate effect. The following timeline shall be adhered to by all the concerned authorities/users of this GISS module-
i. Completion of employee-wise GISS Service Tenure Capture by the HOO and forwarding the same by GISS HOO Admin to DPPG, WB – 31.12.2026.
ii. Checking and Acceptance of GISS Service Tenure Capture requests by DPPG, WB – 31.01.2027.
iii. Crediting of GISS annual interest to employees by DPPG, WB – 30.04.2027.
The detailed process flow for employee-wise GISS Service Tenure Capture has already been issued vide Memo. No. 119-F(J) dated 11.08.2026.
This order shall come into force with immediate effect.
