ORDER
The meal charges for Pre-Matric hostellers as well as maintenance charges to the Post-Matric hostellers for Schedules Caste and Scheduled Tribe students were last revised to Rs. 750/- p.m. w.e.f 01.02.2010 vide this department’s G.O. No. 631-BCW, dated 23.02.2010.
2. The prices of food items has gone up considerably during last few years and as such enhancement of meal charges of the hostellers for Schedules Caste and Scheduled Tribe students was under active consideration of this department.
3. Now, after careful consideration of the matter, the Governor has been pleased to enhance such charges as shown in item (i), (ii) and (iii) below from Rs. 750/- p.m. to Rs. 1,000/- p.m. w.e.f. 01.04.2018 until further orders:-
(i) Pre-Matric hostel charges for Schedules Caste and Scheduled Tribe students (school attached hostel);
(ii) Meal charges for Schedules Caste and Scheduled Tribe students residing at Ashram Hostels run by this department;
(iii) Maintenance charges to Post-Matric Schedules Caste and Scheduled Tribe hostellers of all categories.
4. All concerned are being informed.
5. This order issues with the concurrence of Finance Department vide their U.O. No. Gr. E/2017-2018/0041, dated 29.01.2018.
