Jurisdiction of Sub-Divisions under various NH Divisions of PW (R) Dte.

NOTIFICATION
The different circles under NH Wing of PW (R) Dte. have been reorganized vide this Deptt’s Notification No. 236 dt. 27.12.2013.
Now, the Governor is pleased to change the jurisdiction of Sub-Divisions under various NH Divisions of NH Wing of PW (R) Dte. as detailed below:
National Highway Circle-I
1. The National Highway Division-I, PW (R) Dte., head quarter of Kolkata will have the following NH Sub Divisions under its administrative jurisdiction.
a) Central NH Sub Division, head quarter at Behala will look after the road stretches of NH 117 from Ch.22.76 Km to kmp 56 (i.e.33.24 km.)
b) Diamond Harbour NH Sub Division head quarter at Diamond Harbour will look after the road stretches of NH-117 from kmp 56 to kmp 98 (i.e.42 km.)
c) Kakdwip NH Sub Division, head quarter at Kakdwip will look after the road stretches NH-117 from kmp 98 to Ch. 137.68 Km (i.e.39.68km.) and Hatania Doania Bridge at Ch. 112.5 Km of NH 117.
d) Uluberia NH Sub Division originally under the NH Divn-IV shall be transferred with head quarter at Uluberia and it will look after road stretches NH 117 from Ch 0.557 Km to Ch. 7.065 Km (i.e.6.608 km.) and will also look after Mrigala Bunglow and State Cell for Second Vivekananda Bridge.
2. The National Highway Division-II, PW (R) Dte., head quarter at Kharagpur will have the following Sub Divisions under its administrative jurisdiction.
a) Salbani NH Sub Division head quarter at Salbani originally under the NH Division-IV shall be transferred will look after the road stretches of NH 60 from Ch. 115.21 Km to Kmp.181 (i.e.65.79 km.)
b) Kolaghat NH Sub Division, head quarter at Kolaghat originally under NH Division-IV shall be transferred and it will look the road stretches of NH 116B kmp 0 to kmp 40 (i.e.40 km) and will also look after Naupala Bunglow.
c) Contai NH Sub division so renamed from Soil Sub division originally at Barasat under the NH DivisionV shall be transferred with new head quarter at Contai and it will look after the road stretches of NH 116B from kmp 40 to kmp 92 (i.e.52 km).
3) The National Highway Division V, PW (R) Dte., head quarter at Kolkata will have the following NH Sub Divisions under its administrative jurisdiction.
a) Barasat NH Sub Division head quarter at Barasat will look after road stretches of NH 35 from kmp 0 to kmp 30 (i.e.30 km.)
b) Bongaon NH Sub Division head quarter at Bongaon will look after road stretches of NH 35 from kmp 30 to Ch. 59.60 Km (i.e.29.60 km.)
c) Barrackpore NH Sub Division head quarter at Barasat, will look after road stretches of NH 34 from Ch 14.4 Km to kmp 31 (i.e. 16.60 km)
National Highway Circle-II
4. The National Highway Division-III, PW (R) Dte., head quarter at Durgapur will have the following Sub Divisions under its administrative jurisdiction.
a) Durgapur NH Sub Division, head quarter it Dugapur, will look after the road stretches of NH 60 from kmp 240 to 307 (i.e.67 km.)
b) Bankura NH Sub Division, head quarter at Bankura, will look after road stretches of NH 60 from kmp 181 kmp to 240 kmp (i.e.59 km.) and it would be known as Bishnupur NH Sub Division.
c) Burdwan NH Sub-division so renamed from Bud Bud NH Sub Division with head quarter at Burdwan, will look after road stretches of NH 2B from kmp 0 to 46 kmp (i.e.46 km.)
5) The National Highway Division-IV, PW (R) Dte. with head quarter at Purulia will have the following NI1 Sub Divisions under its administrative jurisdiction.
a) Purulia NH Sub Division originally under the NH Division-III shall be transferred with head quarter at Purulia and it will look after road stretches of NH32 from Kmp 50 to Kmp82 and Ch. 70.34Km to Ch.1134.40Km (i.e.96.06Km in total)
b) Bankura NH Sub Division-so renamed from Asansol NH Sub Division originally under the NH Division-III shall be transferred with head quarter at Bankura and it will look after road stretches of NII 60A from kmp 0 to Kmp 50 (i.e.50 km.)
6) The National Highway Division-VI, PW (R) Dte. with head quarter at Krishnanagar will have the following NH Sub Divisions under its administrative jurisdiction.
a) Krishnanagar NH Sub Division, head quarter at Krishnanagar to look after PMGSY works.
b) Ranaghat NH Sub Division, head quarter at Ranaghat to look after PMGSY works.
7) The National Highway Division-VII, PW (R) Dte. with head quarter at Malda will have the following NH Sub Divisions under its administrative jurisdiction.
a) Malda NH Sub division head quarter at Malda, will look after road stretches of NH 81 from kmp 0 to Ch.60.42 Km (i.e.60.42 km.)
b) Farakka, NH Sub division head quarter at Farakka will look after road stretches of NH 80 from kmp 0 to Ch. 13.41 Km (i.e. 13.41 km.)
c) Chanchol NH Sub division, so renamed from Quality Control NH Sub division with head quarter at Chanchol will look after road stretches of NH131A from kmp 0 to kmp 57 (i.e.57 km.)
8) The National Highway Division-XII, PW (R) Dte., with head quarter of Suri, will have the following Sub Divisions under its administrative jurisdiction:-
a) Bolpur NH Sub Division so, renamed from Ranigunj NH Sub division originally at Ranigunj with new head quarter of Bolpur will look after road stretches of NH2B from kmp 46 to Ch. 105.86 Km (i.e.59.86 km)
b) Suri NH Sub Division, head quarter of Suri, will look after road stretches of NH60 from kmp 307 to kmp 360 (i.e.53km.)
c) Rampurhat NH Sub division so renamed from Berhampore NH Sub Division originally under NH Division VT shall be transferred with head quarter at
Rampurhat and it will look after road stretches of NH60 from Kmp. 360 to Ch.422.45Km. and NH114A from Kmp. 0 to Kmp 14 (i.e. 76.45km in total).
National Highway Circle-III
9) The National Highway Division-IX PW (R) Dte., with head quarter at Siliguri will have the following Sub divisions under its administrative jurisdiction:
a) Siliguri NH Sub Division-I headquarter at Siliguri will look after road stretches NH31 from kmp 551 to kmp 597, NH31C from kmp 0 to Ch. 32.75km and NH3 ID form Ch.86.66 Km to kmp 122 (i.e. 114.09 km in total)
b) Siliguri NH Sub Division-II head quarter at Siliguri will look after road stretches of NH 55 from 40 to kmp 77 (i.e.37 km.)
c) Malbazar NH Sub Division head quarter at Malbazar will look after road stretches of NH 31 form kmp 597 to Ch.674.175 km (i.e.77.175 km in total)
d) Darjeeling NH Sub Division headquarter at Darjeeling will look after road stretches of NH 55 from kmp 0 to kmp 40 (i.e.40 km.)
10) The National Highway Division-X, PW (R) Dte., with headquarter of Alipurduar, will have the following Sub Divisions under its administrative jurisdiction:
a) Alipurduar NH Sub Division headquarter at Alipurduar will look after road stretches of NH 31C from Ch. 157.835 to kmp .228 (i.e.70.165 km.)
b) Cooch Behar NH Sub division renamed from Cooch Behar NH Sub Division-I with headquarter at Cooch Behar will look after road stretches NH31 from kmp .770.800 to Ch.816.100 Km and NH31D from Ch.3.35 Km to Ch. 15.23 Km. (i.e. 57.18 km)
c) Falakata NH Sub Division renamed from Coochbehar NH Sub division II at Coochbehar with new head quarter at Falakata will look after road stretches NH31 from kmp718 to kmp.741, from kmp.743 to Ch.768.945 km and NH31D from kmp.741 to kmp 760 (i.e.67.945 km. in total)
d) Gairkata NH Sub Division originally under NH Division-IX shall be transferred with headquarter of Gairkata and it will look after road stretches NH31 from Ch.692.10km to kmp .718, NH31C kmpl05 to Ch.145.50km and NH31D from kmp.122 to Ch.137.70km and from Ch.674.175 km to Ch692.10 km (i.e. 100.025km in total)
State Highway Circle-VI
11. The Quality Control Highway Division-II, PW (R) Dte. with headquarter at Midnapore will have the following Sub Divisions under its administrative jurisdiction:
a) Quality Control Sub Division-V, headquarter at Midinipur.
b) Quality Control Sub Division-VII, headquarter at Bankura.
c) Jhargram NH Sub division originally under NH Division-II shall be transferred with headquarter at Jhargram and it will look after PMGSY works.
d) Kharagpur NH Sub Division originally under NH Division-II shall be transferred with headquarter at Kharagpur and it will look after PMGSY works.
This re organization will take effect from 1st February, 2014.
