Leave Encashment Benefit of Work-Charged Employees under PWD

Work-charged employees are entitled to get Leave Encashment Benefit, in accordance with the provisions as outlined in Finance Department Order No. 4625-F dated 26.05.1999.

ORDER

The matter of providing leave salary to the Work-charged employees, working in different establishments under the administrative control of Public Works Department, through specific and appropriate Head of Account, was under active consideration for some time past. Now, it is decided that the Work-charged employees are entitled to get Leave Encashment Benefit, in accordance with the provisions as outlined in Finance Department Order No. 4625-F dated 26.05.1999, at par with regular State Government Employees.

The Head of Account “18-2071-01-115-002-Fund required for payment of Leave Encashment Benefits to the work charged employees-04-00-V” is suitable for booking the expenditure relating to payment of Leave Encashment Benefits to the work-charged employees, working in different establishments under the administrative control of this Department during the current financial year 2023-24 and subsequent years as well.

This order is issued with immediate effect and all the concerned Directorates and offices, under the administrative control of Public Works Department, are directed to adhere to this directive regarding drawal and disbursement of funds relating to payment of Leave Encashment Benefits to the work charged employees.

This order is issued with the concurrence of Finance Department vide their U.O. No. Group P1/2023-2024/0116 dated 05.06.2023.
