Raising Upper Age Limit by 2 years for Government Employment


In the said rules, in sub-rule (2) of rule 1, for the words “until further orders”, substitute the words “for a further period of two years from the date of publication of this notification”.

In exercise of the power conferred by the proviso to article 309 of the Constitution of India, the Governor is pleased hereby to make the following amendment in the West Bengal Services (Raising of Age-limit) Rules, 1981, published with this Department Notification No. 10317-F dated 31st December, 1981, as subsequently amended (hereinafter referred to as the said rules):-

Amendment

In the said rules, in sub-rule (2) of rule 1, for the words “until further orders”, substitute the words “for a further period of two years from the date of publication of this notification”.

2. Saving.- Notwithstanding the expiry of the period specified in sub-rule (2) of rule 1, the benefit of the enhanced upper age-limit shall continue to apply to all recruitment processes for
which advertisements/ notices inviting applications have been issued during the period for which these rules remain in force.
