Verification of Balances of Local Fund, PL and Deposit Accounts

To ensure regular verification of the balances lying at the credit of the different accounts, serious discrepancies might arise. The possibility of excess drawal also cannot be ruled out.

List of Public Holidays for the year 2012 i.e. 1st January, 2012 to 31st December, 2012 for the Department of School Education, Govt. of West Bengal. Total number of holidays in this year is 65 days.

Additional 2 Increments of Teachers for phD

Granting of two additional increments in favour of teachers working in non-Government aided Secondary Schools having phD w.e.f. the date of the convocation.

Public Holiday on Swami Vivekananda Birth Anniversary

Governor is pleased to declare Thursday, the 12th January, 2012, the birthday of Swami Vivekanda as a Public holiday. This is in partial modification of earlier Notification No. 10972-F(P) dated 07.12.11.

Clarification regarding HRA to GDMOs under NRHM

GDMOs and Specialists engaged under NRHM may stay in quarters of health department, if available, and no charges may be deducted from them in the interest of public services, till they are engaged on contract.

Upper Age Limit for Entry into Govt. Jobs – 40 years

Government raised the upper age limit for entry into Govt. Service as 40 years for General, 45 years for SC/ ST and 43 years for OBC/ PH candidates. The minimum age is 18 years.

Attendance of Teaching and Non-Teaching Employees

Head of an Institution and all members of the staff, teaching and non-teaching should attend School at the appointed hour and shall not leave before the School closes for the day.
