An Annual Examination is a formal assessment conducted at the end of an academic year to evaluate a student’s knowledge.
The candidates who have passed Class XI Annual Examination under Old Syllabus but did not appear / succeed in the Test Examination / H.S. Examination so far, are permitted to pursue their studies under Semester System in Class XII afresh in the Academic Year: 2026-2027.
All Head of the Institutions to conduct Semester-II, Semester-I Supplementary, Practical and Project Examinations of the students of Class-XI (AY: 2025-2026) within March, 2026.
Institutions have to enter the marks of the students of Class-XI Annual Examination by visiting Council online portal from 11.04.2023 to 02.05.2023 using existing login id & password.
If any valid registered plucked (i.e. who failed/ not appeared previous Class XI Annual Examinations) candidate intends to appear in 2023, his/ her fees should be deposited through online mode.
All regular classes will remain suspended for the days of examination for those Institutions where both H.S Examination, 2023 and Class XI Annual Examination, 2023 will be held.
SPECIMEN ANSWER SCRIPT (Theory Paper) of the H.S. Examination & Class XI Annual Examination, 2023 is being uploaded in the Council website: https://wbchse.wb.gov.in/ for ready reference and for the interest of the Examinee.
Instruction to the Head of Higher Secondary Institutions, Venue Supervisor, Teachers, Convenor, Jt. Convenor, Center-in-Charge, Center Secretary for ensuing Higher Secondary Examination and Class XI Annual Examination, 2023.
The papers of 80 marks will be of 3 hours and 15 minutes duration. First 15 minutes is allowed for reading question papers and writing Registration Number and name of the subjects, the next 3 hours for answering questions on the answer scripts.
Registration Certificate for Fazil – XI may be collected from the Board Office by the Madrasah authority on and from 09.03.2023.
Camp for distribution of the deliverables (as listed below) related to class-XI Annual Examination, 2023 and Higher Secondary Examination, 2023 will be held on 23rd of November, 2022 at 11.00 am.
