OBC certificate holder is required to apply for the amended certificate in plain paper along with original OBC certificate and attested documentary proof in support of non-creamy layer status.

Governor is pleased to introduce digitally signed Caste Certificates through e-signature in respect of issuing authorities in rest of the Sub-divisions of West Bengal.
The Grievance Cell will meet the queries and clarifications for early issuance of caste certificates to the applicants who are willing to file nominations in the ensuing General Election to Panchayats.

Resolution of grievances of the applicants related to Online Single Window Portal for citizens: 15 (fifteen) working days from the date of receiving of application with all requisite documents.
While applying for caste certificates some candidates are taking unfair means by suppression/ misrepresentation of facts or by altering name/ surname to their advantage.
Certificate Issuing Authorities is to conduct proper verification before issuance of SC, ST, OBC castes certificates to avoid erroneous issuance.
