Incentive Scheme
An arrangement under which additional payments are made to employees as a means of increasing production.
The objective of Dr. Ambedkar Scheme for Social Integration through Inter-Caste Marriages is to extend financial incentive to the newly married couple.
The object of the Scheme is to extend fiscal incentives to encourage entrepreneurs to set up Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises with a view to focusing on balanced development of MSMEs across the State.
The objective of the Scheme is to provide state support in the form of fiscal and nonfiscal incentives in order to encourage private sector to set up industrial parks on their own land with quality infrastructure so as to catalyze and promote growth of MSME units in the state, boost employment generation, and lead to technology advancement and improved environmental compliance.
The scheme envisages support to around 1 lac artisans and 200 industrial cooperative societies every year with an expected annual financial outlay of Rs 200 crore.
Governor is pleased to sanction as one time death benefit of Rs. 2 lakh only per deceased artisan/ weaver with a view to provide an instant financial support to the next of kin to the weavers/artisan on their expiry before attaining 60 years of age.
Rs. 10,000 will also be provided towards raw material assistance for production of handloom products. To get this benefit, the raw material, i.e. yarn has to be procured through Tantuja.
Governor is pleased to sanction the implementation of a new Incentive Scheme for the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in West Bengal for promoting growth and development of Powerloom sector.

Under this scheme, Rs. 5000 (Kancha Gola), Rs. 12000 (Improved Gola) or Rs. 25000 (Onion Storage Structure) are provided as subsidy to the selected beneficiaries.
To encourage entrepreneurs to set up Broiler Breeding Farms with a view to promote production of broiler day-old chicks in the State and create employment opportunities in rural areas, to make the State self-sufficient in broiler day-old chicks production.
