Casual Leave, Earned Leave, Maternity Leave, Paternity Leave, Half Pay Leave, Commuted Leave, Leave not Due, Extraordinary Leave, Special Disability Leave, Study Leave, Child Care Leave, Child Adoption Leave etc.
Female Govt. Employees having minor children (upto 18 years) may be granted Child Care Leave for a maximum period of two years (i.e. 730 days) during their entire service period.
Leave Rules for Govt. Employee – Leaves can not be claimed as a matter of right. Except Casual Leave and Half day Casual Leave, other leaves may be combined.
Casual Leave can not be sanctioned for more than 7 consecutive days at a time including Sundays, holidays and weekly off days except for very special circumstances to be recorded in writing.
West Bengal State Council of Higher Education has made certain recommendations in respect of uniform leave rules for the whole time teachers of the Govt. sponsored colleges in the State.
A Joining time of 12 days is admissible where the transfer necessarily involves continuous travel by road for more than 200 km as per rule 81 of WBSR – I.
Muslim employees of West Bengal Government, who will be on ROJA (i.e. fasting for RAMZAN) may be permitted to leave office at 3:30 pm during the month of RAMZAN.
Grant of Paternity-cum-Child Care Leave for 30 days to the male State Government employees and employees of Panchayat Raj & other Local Bodies, Boards, sponsored/ non-Govt. aided Schools & Colleges, State aided Universities and Companies, Corporations, Undertakings etc.
(i) Leaves like casual leave, medical leave, maternity leave, study leave and (ii) Swasthya Sathi Scheme which had earlier been enjoyed by the erstwhile Government approved Part Time Teachers, Contractual Whole Time Teachers.
West Bengal Primary Teachers Leave Rules are applicable to all the teachers of the Non-Government Primary Schools under the administrative control of the Calcutta/ Mahakuma/ District Primary School Councils.
