Guidelines before sanctioning any kind of leave to teachers and non-teaching staffs during Higher Secondary Examinations – 2026 (Semester IV, Supplementary Exam of Semester III & Under Old Yearly/ Annual System) to be held from 12.02.2026 to 27.02.2026.
Number of maximum permissible “On Duty” that may be given to the teachers for performing their duties in H.S. Examinations, 2026.
The teachers and non-teaching staff of schools selected as Centers and Venues for the Madhyamik Pariksha, 2026 may be granted CCL or Paternity Leave only under the circumstance when their child is a candidate.
All HoDs shall ensure that under normal circumstances, the proposals be sent to this office at least four weeks prior to the commencement of the period of leave.
All Heads of Offices/ Controlling Authorities concerned will issue Show-Cause notice to the employee(s) concerned, who will remain absent on 9th July, 2025, asking him/her to explain why action would not be taken against him/her for such unauthorized absence.
In view of the prevailing situation and in the interest of maintenance of public services it is hereby ordered that all leave sanctioned to the employees of the Government of West Bengal, except leave on medical ground, stand cancelled with immediate effect.
For availing leave for more than 7 (seven) days at a stretch, the concerned Executive Officer shall apply before the Chairman concerned and the Chairman shall forward the same to the Department of Urban Development and Municipal Affairs for obtaining No-objection.
For parents not eligible to CCL may submit his/her application through Managing Committee of the said school to the concerned Regional Office of the Council before granting such leave.
Work-charged employees are entitled to get Leave Encashment Benefit, in accordance with the provisions as outlined in Finance Department Order No. 4625-F dated 26.05.1999.
