Para Teacher
Para teachers have been engaged under SSA from time to time in the State of West Bengal. The orders regarding their duties, renewal of the contract of a para teacher, remuneration, leave rules etc. can be found here.
Governor has been pleased to accord approval for an yearly enhancement of remuneration @ 3% in respect of Para teachers and other categories of personnel engaged under SSM, SSK and MSK teachers who have been brought under School Education Department in the recent past.
Enhancement of remuneration of different contractual employees of Paschim Banga Sarva Shiksha Mission in State Project Office, District Project Office and Circle Level Resource Centre.
On attaining 60 years of age or winding up of this project the Para teachers or other contractual employee as shown above will be paid an exgratia Retirement Honorarium of Rs. 1 (One) Lakh only on lump sum basis.
The period of maternity leave to all contractual employees under PBSSM is extended from 135 days to 180 days with effect from the date of issue of this order No. 165-SE dated 19.02.2013.
Framing of programme of training (D.El. Ed) of Para/Contractual teachers, teaching staff of MSKs, SSKs under Panchayat and M.A & M.E departments and Para-Teachers through ODL mode under West Bengal Board of Primary Education.
Length of engagement of re-designated para-teachers for the purpose of granting the benefit of payment of Rs. 1 lakh after attaining the age of 60 years.

Implementation of Employees Provident Fund and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952, in respect of Para Teachers, Shiksha Bandhus and Other contractual employees under Paschim Banga Sarava Shikhsa Mission.
For the Children with visual problems sitting arrangement may be done in the front row and near the windows. Brail text books should also be provided for them.
